Rockford Chapter NSDAR Calendar 

The Rockford Chapter NSDAR meets the 2nd Saturday of each month from September to June unless otherwise ordered by the regent or by the executive board. Visitors are welcome to attend meetings. For more information regarding attending our meetings, please contact our Chapter's Vice Regent.  Prospective members are always welcomed.

​Due to COVID-19 some of our meetings could be conducted via Zoom.  That is also the backup plan for any meetings that cannot be held as planned. If you need an invite for a Zoom meeting, contact Marsha Ackerman, VIS Chairman at marshaackerman@yahoo.com.

Program/Speaker:    Dr. Catherine Forslund –Chair, History and International Studies Dept. at Rockford University “We Are a College at War: Women Working for Victory in World War II.”

VETERAN'S DAY PROGRAM - PUBLIC EVENT
 Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, 2022
Time:  Doors Open at 10:15 am, program begins at 11:00 am
Veterans Memorial Hall, 211 N. Main St, Rockford
Program/Speaker:    Jonathan Logemann is a member of the Illinois Army National Guard and served in Afghanistan leading advising missions with the Afghan National Police.    His uncle is a Navy Chaplain and his grandfather was an Air Force tailgunner who flew in numerous combat missions in the Pacific Theater during WWII. 


Chapter Meeting:   7 pm Monday, Nov. 14, Zoom                                                         
Program/Speaker: Marsha Ackerman on how to document family history and memories. 


Chapter Meeting:      11 am, Friday December 2 
Holiday Luncheon, Nominating Committee delegate election 
Forest Hills Country Club, 5135 Forest Hills Rd, Loves Park

Special Event:   Wreaths Across America Service Project 
10 a.m. Saturday, December 17

Special Event: Good Citizens Awards, Friday, February 24

Program/Speaker: Honorable Joseph Bruscato, 17th Circuit Judge, Winnebago County


Chapter Meeting: 10 am Saturday, March 11
Location: TBD
Program/Speaker: Calling all cooks! Our guest speaker will be Catherine Lambrecht, who has judged Family Heirloom Recipes contests in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Ohio, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Catherine will talk about her experiences and share recipes. But the fun does not end there! If you’d like to enter your family heirloom recipe for general tasting, you’ll be able to do so. There will be a small entry fee of $5.

Program/Speaker: Ann Wasser, Executive Director, Severson Dells on the impact of climate change in our area and practical conservation tips for the home.

Program:Join our chapter as we lead our annual ceremony honoring those Winnebago County soldiers who have fallen in battle or died from exposure to Agent Orange.
